A12： いいえ、間違いだったと申告してください。これは別に注意や小言をする意味ではなく、本当の事件（事故）であったかどうかを判断するためです。事件の場合、犯人に脅されて何も言えずに通話を切ったことも考えられます。間違いは間違いとハッキリ言ってもらう方が助かります。なお、警察は110番にかけてきたどんな電話に対しても、かけ直すことができます。これは、通話が切れてしまっても連絡手段を確保できるようにと、NTTと特別な体制を整えているためです。
